At the ladies, Laurence Leboucher offered herself her third
consecutive victory. A walk of health for the Norman, who finishes with 3 ' 40 " beforehand on Sandra Temporelli and more than 13 ' on Sophie Villeneuve.

Sandra Temporelli and Laurence Leboucher widely dominated their
category. Leboucher, the world champion made a sort of walk of health before leaving the victory to her co-team member of the team Peugeot. A team which, having already been a world champion in 1996 with Jérome
Chiotti, possesses henceforth the feminine title but which will not exist any more in cross-country next year.
Before the last stage of the Cup of France, on October 18th, Laurence Leboucher, with three
victories this season, is almost assured to pocket the final victory. As for Miguel Martinez and Christophe Dupouey, they will meet themselves for a last decisive sleeve in fortnight to Fréjus for long-awaited
meeting of the Cliff of Azure.
