World Championships
Monopoli

Laurence Leboucher picked up a bronze medal in Monopoli. The victory then returned to Daphny Van Den Brand who anticipated in the sprint Hanka Kupfernagel.

The rain would have been able to waste the holiday but fortunately, nothing such happened. Ceaseless all night long, the water had transformed the circuit into really paddling pool but the powerful wind is in charge of reclaiming the diluted zones and of allowing in championships of feminine and male world to take place in relatively common conditions. The riding of the Women includes five tours of the circuit of Monopoli, that is 13,5 km. Very fast, two competitors get loose: the Dutchwoman Daphny Van Den Brand and the German Hanka Kupfernagel. Behind, the pursuit is organized by the outgoing world champion Laurence Leboucher and by the Italian Annabella Stropparo.

Both duets are in confrontation with distance during all the riding. World champion's title is going to deceive between Van Den Brand and Kupfernagel. Both young ladies know it and place banderilles alternately. Both undergo phases of "good" and of "less indeed". Finally, they reach together in the final straight, where the sprint takes care to decide between them.
